"Best Location in Phnom Penh”
The Palace Gate Hotel is located at the most strategic place in Phnom Penh. It's so close to the Royal Palace that you can just cross the road and walk into the entrance. It's also within walking distance to the National Museum, Riverside and Wat Botum Boulevard Park. The Hotel has spacious rooms with a large bed and balcony seating area. My favorite part about this place is the blue swimming pool which had minimal chlorine in it (my goggles broke before I got into the pool and I had to swim without it. My eyes did not feel the sharp pain from the chlorine which was perfect! We had our dinner and breakfast at the Mealea Fine Dining Restaurant which was in an 80-year old restored French Villa. The interior was splendid and the food was good as well. Highly recommended for anyone who wants privacy, peace and quiet.
"Amazing Place”
We booked the Palace Gate in Phnom Penh and we were so delighted with our choice. The hotel was gorgeous and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved the view of the beautiful pool from our room and extended our stay because we were enjoying our stay and PP. The room was large and beautiful in the French colonial style. The breakfast was amazing in the AM. They have an espresso maker in the lobby anytime you wanted a coffee. The pool was so amazing and warm. Like a little Oasis. We spend most late afternoons sipping exotic cocktails and enjoying the beautiful warm saltwater pool. Staff was truly amazing. We will be back. I would highly recommend this hotel. Expensive compared to Cambodian prices. You can get cheaper elsewhere but the value you get at around $100 per night. Amazing and worth the few extra dollars.
"Beautiful Hotel”
Great location just besides the Palace Gates and the hotel itself had a touch of class, which made you feel like a celebrity. It wasn't your big typical resort/hotel style, it had charm and character that made excellent use of their grounds. Also, with the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh, the hotel did an excellent job of creating an environment that silenced most of the street noises which made it more like of spa/retreat. The rooms were super spacious, the bed and pillows were super comfortable. I rarely, like writing reviews but one deserves it. I would definitely stay here again.
