Hotel Edit is conveniently located a 5 minute walk from Bashamichi station and an 8 minute walk from Sakuragicho station. Both stations offer connections to get you to Tokyo in 30-40 minutes. If you want to stay in Yokohama (which has plenty on offer) then Hotel Edit is a perfect base to go all directions: the bustling area west of Sakuragicho station, Landmark Tower, Osambashi Pier, Kannai, Nihonodori, China Town, ... The staff is very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee is offered for free, also in the lobby. Next time in Yokohama I will certainly stay here again, also because the price was good.

Edit Yokohama hotel was my best stay in Japan. The location is very convenient. It is walking distance to JR, subway blue line, Minato Mirai 21 area, and China town. It takes about 40 minutes to Tokyo station. The hotel is modernly designed. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and bigger than those in Tokyo hotels. Breakfast buffet provides healthy and tasty food. I’m super satisfied with my stay here!

I had stayed at the Washington Yokohama a few weeks earlier, and the service was impeccable, but the decor of the Edit Yokohama is prettier and newer. Yokohama was a perfect stay since it is much cheaper than Tokyo. The waterfront area is great and if you learn to navigate the trains, you csn be at Tokyo Station in 45 mins. Or just about anywhere in Tokyo for that matter. Also the YCAT is convenient to Haneda, also if you walk o block away from the Sakuragicho Station, opposite to the waterfront you can find a great Japanese style drinking area. I highly recommend Edit Hotel and the Sakuragicho area as an altetnative to Tokyo.
