"Very nice hotel!”
We had just one night at the Hotel Grand United Ahlone Branch, we arrived late and left early, because we flew out of Myanmar. Unfortunately, because the hotel is so nice that we would have stayed more! It's located in the richest part of Yangon (the first time we arrived, we couldn't imagine Yangon could have a modern side!) and easy reachable from the airport. The room was great, very clean and full of any comfort. The breakfast was very good as well, with a lot of variety in the food. We didn't enjoy them, but there was a pool room and a fitness centre. Hotel highly recommended!
"Roomy, quiet neighbourhood”
Very good, experienced and lovely staff. We travelled with our 20 month old toddler and the Junior Suite was a great size. The travel cot fit well with ample room to spare. We also stayed at the Grand United 21st Downtown branch for a night and the reduced size woukd have tested our relationship somewhat... The room missed some polishing touches during construction but nothing that you wouldnt expect in most hotels anyway. The was was one thousand degrees and somewhat of an art to master. Breakfast is a wide range if Chinese, Burmese, food with fruit, toast, cereal and an omelette station aswell - really cant complain on that front. Location is in the embassy district so traffic isnt too bad. It's near the National Museum and Pegu Club and about only about five minutes to the Pagoda or downtown by cab - dont pay more than 3k kyat (3AUD) to anywhere in Yangon. I highly recommend the Pagoda View ona higher floor the hotel offers a more tree-lined view than many other of the more expensive luxury hotels.

This is the second time I come back to check in here. All in all, everything is good. We stayed 03 nights (02 rooms) for half trip. One of things which I chosen Hotel Grand United Ahlone Branch is the best location. It's near to Shwedagon Pagoda (It takes 10mins for driving and beside the convenient store (City Mark) takes 01mins by walk :)) The breakfast is always very diversified, plentiful and good for everyday. The staff is helpful and friendly. However, the rest of trip (when we come back from Mandalay and check in here for 01 night again) 01 minus point is We are women (Mom & me) but they arranged for us 01 smoking room (R.410) :(( The result was when we checked in, I had to sprayed perfume and kept ventilation opened for getting rid the terrible smell of smoke for whole night.
