"The best experience of my life!”
It is hard to know where to begin with this review. Let me just start by stating that my stay here was the best experience of my life. This hotel is simply magnificent. The staff were friendly, attentive, helpful, well trained, and polite. The food was spectacular and the food was outstanding. The 5th floor swimming pool overlooking the city was amazing. Celebrities seem to regularly visit the hotel. My story is unique. I needed to attend to business in Makati, and was going to stay at a typical 2-3 star hotel. However, I decided that this would be the perfect time to propose to my g/f, so I booked this hotel because she deserves the best. Even with these expectations, our stay was beyond my wildest dreams. Rey, the concierge, corresponded with me weeks prior to plan every aspect of my proposal. He and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic. He arranged an exclusive rooftop, sunset proposal, complete with a romantic 2 piece band, rose pedals and candles. The staff also videotaped the entire proposal - check it out on the hotel's facebook page :) Unbelievable. The amount of care they took to make this day perfect for her and I was phenomenal. I sent some pics of us prior to our stay, and they arranged to have one framed and waiting in our room with complimentary champagne, wine and chocolates. At our dinner at Spectrum afterwards, our menu had a picture of her and I in every page. Despite being busy with their typical rich and famous clientele, almost every staff member from bellboy to director came to congratulate us at some point. We felt like moviestars! the worst part of this hotel was leaving it. I wish we could have our wedding here, but it is an expensive world for a young couple. With that being said, my fiancee and I will always cherish our stay there, as I am sure that it will remain one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. Thanks again Fairmont/Raffles staff!
"Luxuriously modern and tasteful”
Fairmont Hotel What can I say? Staying in this 5-star hotel in Makati is luxurious. The deluxe room itself is already loaded with amenities to satisfy any traveler's taste. It is nicely furnished, with a modern and elegant design. Controls for the lights and airconditioning are within reach with the central control panel by the bedside. The toilet and bath is itself a space that was well thought off. It is in one word: spacious. To lessen any awkwardness, the water closet is separated by a frosted door, while the shower is also equipped with a glass door. And for the weary, you can simply unwind in the bathtub to wash away all the day's worries. Besides the nice room, the hotel has great facilities and great people. The facilities include a well equipped gym and a nice and private pool. The hotel staff has the Filipino charm that simply welcomes you in and is very attentive to your needs. Last but not the least, Fairmont is nearby shopping malls, and various dining areas that can all be reached by walking.
"Highly Recommend the Fairmont Makati for Business or Personal Stay”
In the interest of full transparency, I am an Accor Platinum member and there is a good reason for my loyalty. I travel on business approximately 180 days every year. and I always first search if there is a Fairmont Hotel at my travel locations. However, this was my first stay at the Fairmont Makati. My three days at Fairmont Makati was for personal relaxation. In that context, this was a completely successful visit. From check-in through check-out, I enjoyed a completely positive experience. All hotel facilities are first class. The staff from supervisors down to the housekeeping staff were professional and accommodating. The star outlets for my visit were the Mireio Terrace Bar and the Long Bar. The only disappointment during this stay was the Gold Lounge which on one weekend evening was so full that some guests were placed on a waitlist. The Lounge management followed up with an unsolicited email apology, which by itself was much appreciated.
